Return Policy
30-Day Return Window
Most items can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, provided they meet our return conditions.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be in new, unused condition
- Include all original packaging, tags, and accessories
- Not show signs of wear or use
- Include proof of purchase (receipt or order number)
Return Process
Contact Us
Call (970) 344-7213 or email returns@blackhawkltd.com to initiate a return. We'll provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) number.
Package Item Securely
Pack the item in its original packaging (if possible) with all accessories, manuals, and tags. Include your RA number inside the package.
Ship the Return
Ship to: Blackhawk Outfitters Ltd., 110 16th Street Suite 1460, Denver, CO 80202. Write RA number on outside of box. Use a trackable shipping method.
Inspection & Refund
Once received, we'll inspect the item within 3-5 business days. If approved, refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to your original payment method.
Non-Returnable Items
For safety, legal, or hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned:
- Firearms: Federal law prohibits return of firearms once the background check (Form 4473) has been initiated. Sales are final after paperwork begins.
- Ammunition: Cannot be returned due to safety regulations
- Used or Fired Items: Any item showing signs of use
- Custom or Special Orders: Items ordered specifically for you
- Clearance/Final Sale Items: Marked as non-returnable at time of purchase
- Opened Software or Downloads: Digital products
Exchanges
We're happy to exchange items for a different size, color, or model (if available). Follow the same return process above and specify the item you'd like as a replacement. If there's a price difference, we'll either refund or charge the difference.
Defective or Damaged Items
Manufacturer Defects
If an item arrives defective or becomes defective under normal use, contact us immediately. Most manufacturers offer warranties—we'll help facilitate warranty claims or replacements.
Shipping Damage
If an item arrives damaged during shipping, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Provide photos of the damage and packaging. We'll file a claim and send a replacement or refund promptly.
Return Shipping Costs
Customer Returns
For returns due to change of mind or wrong item ordered, customer pays return shipping.
Our Error
If we sent the wrong item or item arrived defective/damaged, we cover return shipping costs.
Refund Methods
Refunds are issued to the original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card: 7-10 business days to appear on statement
- Cash/Check Purchases: Store credit or check mailed within 7-10 business days
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless return is due to our error.
